PricewaterhouseCoopers announced today the five winners of its inaugural Leadership Adventure Video Contest, which asked undergraduate business students nationwide to submit two-minute videos answering the question, “What makes a great leader?” Each winner receives a $3,000 scholarship and will be invited to attend the 2008 PwC Leadership Adventure, a program for high-achieving college students interested in accounting or information technology careers.
The video contest of the National Federation of Independent Business will lead up to NFIB’s National Small Business Summit in 2008, which will be held in Washington, D.C., June 8-11.
content: answer the question “Why does small business work for America?” in less than 30 seconds in order to boost awareness of issues facing small businesses, as rising food and fuel costs squeeze profits for businesses and Washington DC faces a looming recession and a potential regulatory overhaul of the financial services industry.
prize: $5,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington for the summit.
Here’s a video made by NFIB: “Jim Hendersen, from Berkeley, MO, discusses rising health care costs, the affect on small business, and what should be done.“
